Any one out there looking for yard drain work make sure and contact Drain X. these were the only contractor that came out and absolutely offered common sense drainage solutions based on our significant need. i suffered from rain run off throughout my back yard tht left my covered patios covered with dirt and mulch covering my patio areas that caused hours of clean up after any moderate rain. I had two contractors come out, take measurements and left never to get back to me also had contractors come out and wanted to incorporate multiple sump pumps requiring power runs that I didn't have and at a cost that made my head spin. Drain x laid out a practical solution that was in my opinion very reasonable. Their crew showed up and hand dug the necessary trenches, positioned drains and repaired the dig area and replanted displaced grass that has grown back very well. Always had supervision checking the plan and work. After the rains We received previously and last nights coastal disturbance (significant rain) the drainage plan has been wonderful. I highly recommend and urge you to Give Drain X a call if you need help.

We had them install French drains on both sides of our house and replace our fence. They did a great job and no more standing water in our yard and around our foundation! The fence is top quality and beautiful. Hardly any space between the pickets for optimal privacy. My neighbors and myself are 100% happy with the final product. I also wanted to add that his work crew was amazing and they picked up after themselves daily and didn’t leave trash in our yard. This owner and his crew are the best.

Drain X Perts absolutely exceeded my expectations. They responded quickly, showed up when they said they would, and did a fantastic job from start to finish. When I needed some modifications made to the stub-outs to accommodate new downspouts, they came back out promptly and handled everything seamlessly. Owner James Hill is incredibly knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to work with — you can tell he really cares about doing things right. Jimmy and crew showed up and showed off. My drainage headache has been ongoing for literally years. I paid for a solution last year that was no solution at all and I was at the end of my rope. These guys made it seem easy. After the rain of the last few days, I believe I can finally say with confidence the issue has been resolved and is firmly in the rear view mirror. I waited a full year to see how the drainage system held up through an entire rainy season before sharing my experience, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The team at Drain Xperts was phenomenal—professional, punctual, and thorough. They delivered exactly what they promised, completing the project on time and leaving my yard clean and restored. I would highly recommend Jimmy and his crew. He did a great job with installing our backyard drainage system. Our backyard flooded every time it rained. After he installed the drainage system in our backyard we no longer experienced the flooding issue and are grass is much healthier for it. Months later we experienced an issue with the pop up valve in our front yard which was causing a lot of water puddling and ruining the surrounding grass. This was no fault of Jimmy's because he wanted to extend the drain out to the main drain but the city would not allow him to do this. I contacted him about the water puddling issue and he went out an corrected it immediately by moving the pop valve next to the sidewalk to prevent further puddling.

Jimmy and his crew, along with Nathan did a fantastic job on our project. I'd also add their administrative assistant was very attentive and would constantly call to provide updates on the scheduling. She was on top of it! They did a very difficult job of having to move water all the way around the back side of our structure and then to the street. They tied not only our new gutters in but our existing ones as well to meet the city of League City's rigorous permitting. We added quite a few area drains as well and they tied it all in together. When I was looking for a drainage company, I only wanted a company that specializes in it and will do it right the first time. I didn't want just a sprinkler guy or landscape guy who said they can do it. I came home from work and everything done perfectly and cleaned up to perfection. Best of all, the drainage system worked perfectly. It was all sloped just right. I'd highly recommend Drain X Perts to anyone. In terms of pricing, you get what you pay for. Quality materials and their expertise. No surprise on the billing either. We did have to make a few changes during the project and Jimmy worked with me on a fair price for those. I think they are very good at what they do, installing drains. Where they lose a star (maybe 2) for me is the finishing/landscaping. See photos. It's a mess, more/less. Edit: changed to 5stars! Nathan reached out to me. He wasn't satisfied w the sub par performance/<5star review so the team made an attempt to clean up the mess. Happy to report, I'm now a happy customer! Thank you!
Response from the owner:We try or best to put it all back together and also we cut out all the grass to keep our customers from having to by new sod when we first finish it always looks a little disorganized but does not take long for the grass to come back so long as you keep watering it. I do see that a little trash was left and I do apologize and will talk to the guys about it. Jimmy did an amazing job on installing my French drains and talking me through the process. He was timely in his initial appointment and his crew were always there on time and worked late as well. Jimmy knows everything about drainage and has been very helpful and thorough to answer questions even when drainage occurs. The pricing was also fair and definitely well worth the quality. I called Drain X Perts about re-grading a portion of my yard and adding drainage to some low spots after a pool construction. Jimmy met up and provided a quote quickly and scheduled the work quickly. They completed the work in a day, left a clean job site and completed the job as expected. If I have another similar need, I'd have no hesitation from using Drain X Perts again.

Excellent and very pleasant team of men who does a superb job! This is my second time using this company for work in my yard. First, was to put in a French drainage system in the left side of my backyard to remove excess water from both mine and my neighbor's yard. Excess water in our backyards became a problem right after Hurricane Havery. They did such an excellent job that I had to reach out to them a second time when the right side of my backyard developed the same problem. For the second job in addition to putting in a drainage system they installed a sprinkler system. OMG, the sprinkler system is placed in such a strategic way, so that every inch of the yard is wet through each cycle. Five star is not enough to tell how excellent a job this company provides.

Our back porch and sidewalk would flood when we experienced heavy rains, so we had Drain X Perts install a drainage system this past summer. We did not experience any heavy rains until this past Thursday when it rained almost 5 inches. The system worked perfectly and we didn't experienced any flooding. We would highly recommend this company. By the way, we also had a foundation company from Houston give us a bid which was considerably higher, and they said we would have to install a sump pump, and they were going to dump the water into a flower bed rather than running it to the street.

We know that flooding rains can cause anxiety and that a new properly installed drainage system brings peace of mind. We do not like to install sump pumps unless it is absolutely necessary meaning the ground has no slope or negative slope. A gravity fed system move way more water than a pump can and one less thing to maintain. 98 percent of yards usually have enough slope as we only need 1 inch to every 10 feet. Jimmy and his crew installed proper drainage for my 1977 home! We had foundation issues and the foundation company told us that our house doesn’t have proper drainage. The foundation company took forever to get back to us on recommendations for a drainage company. Google searched and found Drain X Perts. Jimmy came out, knowledgeable on knowing what needs to be done. Work was completed within 3 days time during the rainy season. Jimmy made sure I was satisfied with the work. Month and half later, I requested needing more bull rocks to fill my garden bed drainage area and he was able to get his crew out there to complete the job.

I reached out to Jimmy at the beginning of this year after my neighbor recommended his company to install drainage in my backyard after I experienced flooding from heavy rains. Jimmy was wonderful to work with, answered all my questions, and was very communicative. His team was very clean and put everything back the way they found it. Jimmy was able to resolve several flooding problems I was having and I have not had any issues since. Additionally, I had him install sprinklers while we were already tearing up the yard. After they were done with installation, he took the time to help me identify each sprinkler zone, showed me how to use the system, and taught me how to manually adjust the sprinkler heads if needed. He was wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend him!
